It's Christmas Eve, I thought I should go ahead and post some pictures before I take tons of new ones tomorrow. This picture was taken with the purpose of going on our Christmas card. We decided on another picture, which many of you will see in the mail soon enough. I'll post it here eventually for those of you who don't get the hard copy.

I just got a new camera (SLR, 12 Megapixels!), so all pictures from now on will be taken with it!

Sam has been looking especially cute lately, as you can see. He is in constant motion, and is also constantly smiling. He just got back from a week in the Smokies with his grandparents and aunts and uncles. Besides being sick, along with having two sick parents, it was a lot of fun! Just added 100 pictures or so to the Flickr site, so check them out.

Hey everyone! Alan told me I need to post something...so about a week later here it is:) Besides being the cutest lion ever what has Sam been up to? About a day after he started crawling he started pulling up on anything and everything, the only problem was getting back down. After many days of drama (I don't know where he gets that?:)) he finally figured out how to get back down with grace and a smile. I love it when Sam comes crawling over to me and starts to climb up my leg as if to say he wants me to pick him up. I feel like daily God gives me these moments to remind me of the privilege and gift of being a mom. There is nothing like it.

Crawling & Eating

Sam has taken some major strides lately. First of all, as you see in the picture, he has been eating solid food. Cheerios, then mashed avacado, pumpkin, sweet potato and banana. He loves the Cheerios especially.

Then a probably bigger milestone is the crawling, and lots of it. He has been "half-crawling" for a long time, where he scoots along the ground. Well, last week some time he started really crawling, and going all over the house. He is really fast and if you turn your head he is on the other side of the room! He will be 7 months old in two days.

Hail to the Redskins!

Our family is very excited about the Redskins beating the Cowboys yesterday, Sam hasn't stopped smiling since Romo threw that INT!

Sam is 6 months old and is making tons of new strides. He has eaten real food, sort of. He puts it in his mouth but doesn't swallow very often. He has tried: smashed bananas, avacados, sweet potatoes and Cheerios. He is getting closer and closer to crawling. He is great at "scooting" around the room.

Last night he went from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. without eating, which is a new record for him. He continues to wake up at 1:30 a.m. every night and scream for awhile, but we do our best to ignore him and he falls back asleep. Last night though was the first time he didn't wake up at 3:30 a.m. to eat, so hopefully he is through with that.

On the verge of crawling...

Sorry for the lack of updates. We misplaced our camera for awhile, and just starting taking more photos of our amazing son a few days ago. I just posted 30 photos to the photo site, but here are three that show how close he is to crawling. He is 5 1/2 months old, hard to believe.
